Accessibility statement

Pilates in Italy S.a.s. di Ilaria Pulidori – BASI Pilates Italia is committed to making www.basipilates.it accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities, so that anyone can find out about our courses and enrol independently.

This statement applies to www.basipilates.it, in both its Italian and English versions, including the course listings, course pages, cart and checkout.

Compliance status

This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA, as referenced by the European standard EN 301 549, due to the non-compliances listed below.

Non-accessible content

We are aware that the following content is not yet fully accessible and we are working to fix it:

  • Colour contrast: in some boxes within the course pages the contrast between text and background may be insufficient.
  • Course carousel on the home page: the sliding component does not expose a fully correct structure to assistive technologies. The same courses are also available as an accessible list on the Courses page.
  • Posters and PDF documents: some course posters are images of text and some PDF documents have not been prepared for assistive technologies. The same information is provided in the text of the course pages; on request we can provide documents in an accessible format.
  • Older content: in articles and pages published before 2026 some images may lack an adequate text alternative.
  • Third-party services: Google Maps, embedded videos and PayPal payments are provided by external services whose accessibility is outside our control.

What we have done

  • Pages adapt to smartphones, tablets and computers and remain readable with browser zoom up to 200%.
  • Pages are organised with headings and sections and declare their language (Italian or English), so screen readers pronounce the text correctly.
  • The course list and its filters use standard buttons and controls that work with a keyboard; the active filter is announced to assistive technologies.
  • Text, link and button colours meet the minimum contrast requirement (4.5:1 for normal text).
  • Main images have text alternatives and embedded content (maps, videos) has a descriptive title.
  • On course pages the venue map only loads on request, and the address is always available as text.
  • Animations are short and are turned off when the “reduce motion” setting is enabled on the device.

Preparation of this statement

This statement was prepared on 10 October 2026 on the basis of a self-assessment: automated testing (axe-core) and manual checks on a sample of representative pages (home page, course list and course pages, contacts, cart) on computer, tablet and smartphone. It is reviewed at least once a year and whenever the website changes significantly.
